Carmela is a bright, spacious Suite with a private garden, nestled in the peace and tranquillity of the Donna Coraly estate: a haven of luxury and elegance, where past and present are in constant dialogue.

A Suite comprising two rooms: one king-size room, which can also be made up as twin beds, and a second room with a sofa. Carmela's generous layout makes it an intimate, welcoming and luxurious retreat, complete with every comfort: a well-appointed walk-in wardrobe, a large bathroom with shower, and a private furnished garden with armchairs, a table and parasol: the perfect setting for peaceful moments of relaxation.

Antique furnishings, Caltagirone ceramics, a contemporary canvas by Francesco Santosuosso and exquisite fabrics come together to create a romantic, luxurious atmosphere. Gold and deep blue prevail: the colours of Sicily's sun and sea.

Furnished with a parasol, table, chairs and armchairs, the private garden is a peaceful outdoor space reserved exclusively for Carmela's guests, with direct access to the botanical park opposite, home to a biolake and Mediterranean garden.

Carmela: a name that evokes the Garden of God

Carmela is one of the most beloved names in Sicily. Woven through literature and popular tradition, it is, for Sicilians, a true celebration of femininity in its purest form, transcending class and age.

In Hebrew, Carmela means "garden" or "orchard", sometimes "garden of God", and gained popularity through devotion to the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel in Palestine, where in 1251, the Madonna appeared to a friar and saved the people from drought through a miracle.
In Sicily, the feast of the Madonna del Carmelo is one of the most deeply cherished popular celebrations, with religious processions and events held across the island between July and August, in cities such as Catania, Maletto and Ispica, drawing men and women from every corner of the island.
Our Suite was conceived as a little Eden – a garden of God – where peace, silence and beauty are the quiet companions of your stay.

Breakfast opens with a generous buffet of traditional pastries, fresh fruit, organic jams and seasonal specialities, along with hot dishes made to order and a full à la carte option to suit every preference. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices are also available on request.

Breakfast can also be enjoyed in the comfort of your room or private garden.
At sunset, guests are invited to mingle with one another, and the hostess herself, over a glass of prosecco and a selection of homemade canapés.
