Stories of cosmopolitan women who were true protagonists of their era. The noblewomen of yesterday inspire today's hostess: a devoted interpreter of exceptional hospitality.
The San Michele estate has been in the Grande family for centuries, among them a remarkable woman who was a central figure in the socio-cultural life of twentieth-century Syracuse: noblewoman Coraly Grande Sinatra, a lover of art and travel, and a passionate advocate for women's rights.
Our story
A place steeped in history
The Donna Coraly Boutique Country Hotel is nestled in the heart of an enchanting corner of Sicily, where the echo of great exploits still resonates.
Right here on 3 September 1943, in the Vigneto delle Vignazze, the Armistice of Cassibile was signed.
It was here, in the presence of Dwight Eisenhower, Commodore Dick and Captain Deann, that Generals Castellano and Bedell Smith signed the document marking the end of hostilities between Italian and Allied forces, made public only five days later on 8 September.
