The grace of the lady of the house, Donna Lucia Pascarelli, pervades this place. She wanted to dedicate to her beloved grandmother, Baroness Coraly Grande Sinatra, the name of the boutique hotel where the traveler is refreshed from the distances traveled in comfortable suites, each with a small private garden where you can taste, in total privacy, the delicacies of the house. Inside the farmhouse there is a large barn dating back to 1848, which was the building where the products of the farm were collected and the place where Lucia and her brothers used to play. On rainy days, they loved to run around and hide behind the jute sacks piled up in the 300 meters of space. Today, while maintaining its original rustic character, it is a venue for hosting events. The beauty of the site, a green oasis of meadows, succulents and native plants, with a bio-pond sanitized with Salts of Life, reminds us of a timeless place, where to suspend and calm the worries of everyday life. Just beyond, the hortus conclusus, from which the chef draws seasonal vegetables to delight the demanding palates of our guests every day. All surrounded by the family olive groves, from which the EVO oil is produced, an essential component of the Chef’s exclusive recipes. A place of history of peace, where, in the presence of Eng. Paolo Grande, great-grandfather of the owner, on September 3, 1943 was signed the Armistice between Italy and the allied powers. The English Brigadier General Kenneth Strong, the Italian General Giuseppe Castellano, the American General Walter Bedell Smith (future director of the CIA) and the diplomat Franco Montanari, who had acted as translator and interpreter for Castellano signed the secret armistice that ended the Second World War. Following this meeting, President Eisenhower gave orders to cancel the planned attack on Rome with 500 bombers. A place to come, to stay, to return. And, above all, to celebrate the most important moments of our lives. Welcomed by the great beauty and love of the Land of Sicily.
