Noto, the birthplace of Sicilian Baroque, can be reached in half an hour: a city with an ancient face, reborn from its own ashes more than once, a jewel, a destination for those who want to experience the most authentic Sicilianity: Baroque architecture, Sicilian cuisine, events and shows, are just some of the wonders offered by this small town. Donna Coraly is also the ideal starting point to discover the sea of Sicily and the beautiful beaches of fine white sand of Syracuse or, for the more adventurous, the fascinating coastline of lava rock overlooking the sea, near Catania. The small fishing villages, such as Marzamemi and Portopalo, can be reached in 45 minutes: villages where you can enjoy a fish lunch in a typical restaurant, walk through the narrow streets, smell the sea and breathe the Sicily of the past. In these places, in fact, time seems to have stopped! In the surroundings, about an hour’s drive away, we find Modica, Scicli and Ragusa: villages declared by UNESCO World Heritage Sites, exam-ples of a precious Baroque that Sicily jealously guards. Cities known for being the film set of the Commissario Montalbano, protagonist of the famous novels by Andrea Camilleri. Further north, Etna, a wild area, a place full of beauty and contrasts, perfect for a guided tour to discover the colors, scents and natural wonders of this land.
Donna Coraly is in the middle of everything. In a privileged position, lucky, wonderful!
